Dr. Ram Mohan is a distinguished Indian living in Australia who has excelled in various fields and made significant contributions to those in need. A marine scientist, academic, and now a businessman, Dr. Mohan has been residing in Australia since 1998. Before migrating, he was a lecturer and researcher at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, where his participation in international conferences inspired his move to Australia. His career in Australia began as a lecturer in the Northern Territory and later at the University of Queensland. He also worked as a quarantine officer in Australian Border Security before starting his own business in 2007. Dr. Mohan has held numerous leadership roles, including serving as president of the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) and currently as its advisor. He has been a strong advocate for multiculturalism and community service, running the community newspaper Australia India News to unite the multicultural community. In addition to his academic and community work, Dr. Mohan is a pioneer in promoting biodegradable and eco-friendly products through his company, EcoBags, established 15 years ago in Queensland. His commitment to environmental sustainability has made a significant impact, as he strives to reduce the global usage of plastic bags. Dr. Mohan also collaborates with Mr. Nikunj Patel, founder of Australian Premium Solar India, to provide clean and renewable energy solutions in Tamil Nadu, supporting the ‘Make In India’ initiative.
